Born in Ishikawa, 1983. Graduated from the Japan Institute of the Moving Image.
Fujimura had won the Grand Prix for the best screenplay at the Hakodate Harbor Illumination Film Festival in 2007, for his original script of “Hikikomoru-Onnatachi”. In 2010, his short film “Gyakuten no Cinderella” through a project by ndjc (New Directions in Japanese Cinema), in which workshops were held for selected upcoming filmmakers, was screened at numerous domestic and overseas film festivals, having received high acclaim. In 2014, Fujimura directed a TV episode “Ah, Love Hotel” (WOWOW), resulting in serialization of the story due to high popularity from the audience. His TV directions include “Ren-ai Jidai” (Nippon TV group) in 2015, and also “Love Rerun” on the same broadcasting time and frame in 2018. In September 2018, Fujimura made his directorial debut in the commercial feature film “My Dad is a Heel Wrestler!” (Cast: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Shin Terada, Yoshino Kimura, Riisa Naka), which was screened nationwide and erupted great success.
